By module and by scale. Auditor and Access Analyzer are licensed per enabled AD and M365 account, so the real seat count includes admin and service accounts, not just your named users. Endpoint Protector is priced per protected endpoint, Privilege Secure per privileged user. Sirius Star deployments typically land between INR 5 lakh and 25 lakh depending on module mix, exclusive of GST, confirmed at quote time.
Is Netwrix hard to set up?
Honestly, the initial configuration is not a weekend job. Some customers describe the console as dated next to newer SaaS tools, and getting data sources, scopes and reporting right takes a proper deployment plan, not a quick install. That is the part Sirius Star owns: scoping, phased rollout and a 30-day stabilisation window before we hand the console to your team.
Can Netwrix run on-prem in India for DPDP and RBI?
Yes. Auditor, Access Analyzer and Change Tracker install self-hosted in your own datacentre or an India cloud region, so access logs and permission maps never leave your boundary. 1Secure, the SaaS edition, runs in global cloud regions instead, so choose the self-hosted path if residency is a hard requirement.
Does Netwrix cover Linux servers as well as it covers Windows?
Not quite. Windows and Mac get full policy parity across auditing and Endpoint Protector. Linux endpoint coverage is real but thinner, and reviewers regularly flag it as the weaker leg of the platform. If your estate is Linux-heavy, tell us in the scoping call and we will size around the gap honestly rather than oversell it.
