Trend Micro Cloud One is now TrendAI Vision One. Same console.
How a 72-workload Mumbai logistics platform moved off Cloud One onto Vision One in eleven days and cut cloud security spend by ₹31 lakh a year. Story below.
Trend Micro Cloud Security at a glance
Why Trend Micro anchors most Indian cloud security estates.
- What changed
- Trend Cloud One reached end of life in 2026. Every module, Workload Security, Container Security, File Storage Security, moved into TrendAI Vision One under new names. The login, the agent and the coverage carry over. Only the product names and the billing model changed.
- What it is now
- TrendAI Vision One is Trend Micro’s single platform for cloud workload, container, endpoint and XDR security across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Server & Workload Protection is what used to be called Cloud One Workload Security.
- Who it fits
- Indian businesses running 10 to 5,000 cloud workloads across more than one cloud, or anyone still holding a live Cloud One contract that needs migrating before Trend Micro sunsets the legacy console.
- Entry price band
- From roughly ₹1,200 per workload per month for Server & Workload Protection*, scaling with Container Security, File Storage and XDR add-ons as the estate grows.
- Who should look elsewhere
- Azure-only estates already paying for Microsoft 365 E5 usually get Defender for Cloud folded into one Microsoft bill for less. Sirius Star will say so in the free review.

Trend Micro Cloud Security vs Sophos, ESET
All four are honest choices. Most Indian buyers land on the first option for service depth and ecosystem fit.
| Brand | Where it wins | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Defender for Cloud | Folds into one Microsoft bill if you are already on 365 E5. Native Azure telemetry. | Azure-centric estates with no AWS or Google Cloud footprint. |
| Sophos Intercept X with MDR | Fully managed detection and response without running your own console. | Endpoint-first SMBs that want the SOC outsourced entirely. |
| ESET Endpoint Security | Lower cost per seat, lighter footprint, no cloud workload complexity. | Desktop and laptop-heavy estates with minimal cloud infrastructure. |

Trend Micro Cloud Security India FAQ
Common questions about this brand for Indian buyers. Hover any underlined term for a plain-English definition.
What happened to Trend Micro Cloud One in 2026?
Trend Micro retired Cloud One in 2026 and moved every module into TrendAI Vision One under new names. Workload Security became Server & Workload Protection, Conformity became Cyber Risk Exposure Management, and Container Security kept its name. The login, the agent and the coverage carry over. Only the product names and the billing model changed.
Do I have to migrate off Cloud One right now?
Trend Micro has stopped selling new Cloud One licences, so any renewal or expansion now happens on Vision One. Existing Cloud One instances keep running until Trend Micro sunsets the legacy console, but we recommend migrating on your own schedule rather than during a renewal deadline. Sirius Star runs the migration as a planned 2 to 4 week project, not an emergency.
What does Trend Micro Vision One cost in India in 2026?
Sirius Star’s managed Vision One pricing for Indian buyers starts at around INR 1,200 per workload per month for Server & Workload Protection, around INR 1,900 per node per month for Container Security, and around INR 80 per bucket per month for File Storage Security. Most 30 to 120 workload estates land between INR 45,000 and INR 1.8 lakh a month depending on the module mix. Sirius Star sizes the exact mix in the free readiness review.
Trend Micro Vision One or Microsoft Defender for Cloud for an Indian business?
Microsoft Defender for Cloud is the right answer when the estate is Azure-centric and already on Microsoft 365 E5, because workload protection folds into one Microsoft bill. Trend Micro Vision One wins when the estate spans AWS, Azure and Google Cloud at once, or when Kubernetes and container runtime protection is in scope. Sirius Star will recommend Microsoft Defender where it is the cheaper correct answer, even though we sell Trend Micro.
How long does a Cloud One to Vision One migration take?
A single-cloud estate under 50 workloads typically migrates in 1 to 2 weeks. A multi-cloud estate above 100 workloads with container and file storage modules in scope usually takes 3 to 4 weeks, run in cohort waves so no workload goes unprotected during the switch. Sirius Star timeboxes the plan at the start so your steering committee knows the cutover date.
Does the Vision One migration affect DPDP compliance?
No, but it is a good moment to check it. Sirius Star keeps protected AWS, Azure and Google Cloud workloads in Indian regions where available, gates the Vision One console with Microsoft Entra ID conditional access, and documents the cross-border processing posture per the MEITY DPDP framework as part of the migration.
