None of this is a reason to overthink the purchase. Most offices need two ranges, not four: one mainstream combo for the majority of desks, one upgrade path for the minority that actually pushes hardware hard all day. Logitech vs Dell, HP and Lenovo bundled accessories
All three of the big laptop OEMs also sell mice and keyboards, and most Indian offices already have at least one of those brands on the laptop PO. Which Logitech series should I buy for a standard office desk?
Signature series (M650/K650, Signature Slim, Comfort Plus) by default. It is the reliable, no-setup-conversation combo built for a desk that just needs to work. Move to MX Master and MX Keys only for power users, and to ERGO only where HR has flagged a wrist or shoulder complaint. Do not put MX Master on every desk. It is more mouse than most desks need.
Is the double-click failure on Logitech mice a real problem?
Yes. Micro-switch wear causing a single click to register as two is a widely documented complaint on the MX mouse line, usually inside one to two years of daily use. Do I need to install Logi Options+ across the whole fleet?
