What Grade A actually means, and who should buy it
The honest version, not the marketing version.
Grade A is the cleanest tier in the refurb trade. No screen scratches visible at arm’s length. No keyboard wear. Battery health above 85 percent. A full 28-point functional pass. Original OEM charger. New OS install. Anything that fails a point gets a part swap or drops to the next grade tier, it never ships as Grade A with a known fault.
The supply comes from enterprise refresh cycles. Big banks and IT services firms in India cycle their laptop fleets roughly every 36 months. The hardware is still in great working shape, it just falls off their depreciation schedule. We buy it, test it, restore it, and resell it with a warranty attached. A second stream comes from our own DaaS contract returns, where we already know the exact usage history because we set the MDM policy ourselves. A third stream, mostly for MacBooks, is Grade-A imports through authorised Singapore and Dubai distributors, arriving with original Apple boxes. We do not buy from local marketplaces or unknown sellers. Provenance is the whole difference between a refurbished laptop and a punt.
Refurbished works brilliantly for secondary fleets: training labs that take a beating, shift workers sharing a desk, startups that need 20 laptops in two weeks, NGOs on grant budgets, sales-floor machines with a short device life anyway. It works less well for power users who need the very newest chip, a creative team running Premiere Pro on the latest MacBook Pro should buy new. The honest test: if the user opens fewer than 30 browser tabs and never touches video editing, refurbished is the right answer, and the saving is real money back in the business.

Direct answers to what Indian buyers actually ask before ordering a refurbished fleet.
How old are these laptops?
Most are 12 to 24 months from manufacture. We mark the age band on the quote so you can decide. Anything older than 30 months we put in Grade B or below.
Can we get the same image and MDM as new laptops?
Yes. The image, AV, and MDM enrolment are identical to a new laptop. Microsoft Intune, Jamf, SureMDM, SOTI, Samsung Knox enrolment all work normally.
What about parts availability in year two?
HP, Lenovo, Dell all carry parts for 5 to 7 years post-launch. The models we refurbish are well inside that window. MacBook parts get tighter past year 4 because Apple controls the chain.
Is the warranty from OEM or from Sirius Star?
From Sirius Star. We hold parts inventory and service contracts with authorised partners. The warranty card you receive has our number on it. We answer.
Can we mix new and refurbished in one DaaS contract?
