Pantum Laser Printers & MFDs · For Indian business buyers
Your printer fleet is bleeding money.
The Short Version

One Pantum laser printer standard for every desk. One toner size. One number to call.

How a Nashik trading firm swapped five ageing inkjets for two Pantum mono MFDs and cut cost per page by 30 percent in one quarter. The catch: a driver update broke network scanning for a week, and nobody had budgeted a support visit to fix it. Full story in the Field Guide below.

Pantum Laser Printers & MFDs at a glance

Why Pantum anchors most Indian laser printers & mfds estates, and where a mixed brand fleet on one AMC still makes more sense than switching everything at once.

OEM
Pantum (Zhuhai Pantum Electronics), part of the Ninestar Group, founded 2010. Portfolio spans 18 to 40 ppm mono lasers, colour lasers, A3 units and label printers, with ink-tank inkjets on the way. Make in India manufacturing runs through Kaynes Technology since 2025, aimed at government and institutional buyers as much as SMBs.
Who it fits
SMB and institutional buyers with high plain black-and-white print volume who do not need heavy colour or finishing. Reception desks, back offices, branch counters and shared floors where the printer runs invoices, forms and internal paperwork all day.
Entry price band
Entry mono laser printers run roughly Rs 8,000 to Rs 13,000*, well under equivalent HP, Canon and Brother models. Shared-floor MFDs and high-speed units climb toward Rs 25,000 to Rs 45,000* once scan, copy and duplex are added.
India presence
Ranked No. 4 in India’s laser printer market and growing, with roughly 40 regional distributors, 1,000 tier-3 partners and around 1,000 service providers reaching tier 4 and 5 towns, not just the metros.
Where it does not fit
Offices that need rock-solid driver support on day one, run a heavy Mac fleet, or refill cartridges themselves to cut running cost, should shortlist Brother or HP first. Pantum is a hardware-price play, not a running-cost play.
Sirius Star’s role
Sirius Star supplies and services Pantum as an authorized reseller, with toner, driver testing and AMC bundled into one PO, so one number handles setup, refills and repairs.

The Pantum Laser Printers & MFDs ranges Sirius Star supplies

Pick the range that matches the use case. We size the mix in the free 30-minute review, and most offices end up running two ranges side by side rather than one printer for everything.

Most bought

P2200 series entry mono laser

The single-desk or small-team workhorse. Loads in minutes, prints plain paperwork all day without fuss, and costs less upfront than any HP or Canon equivalent we quote.

Current India models: P2200, P2210, P2512*
  • 18-22 ppm mono
  • Manual duplex on most models
  • Best fit under 5 users
Compact

P2510 series compact mono laser

A smaller footprint for reception desks and branch offices short on counter space, without giving up print speed for daily paperwork.

Current India models: P2510, P2512W*
  • Wi-Fi on select models
  • Small physical footprint
  • Good for branch rollouts
Shared floor

BP/BM2300 series (2310 series) MFD

Print, scan and copy for a shared office floor. The default choice once one desk printer is not enough for the whole team.

Current India models: BP2300, BM2300, BP2310*
  • Print + scan + copy
  • Auto duplex
  • 20-30 ppm mono
High-speed

BP/BM4200 series high-speed mono

For departments with heavier daily volume: invoicing runs, HR paperwork, and back-to-back print jobs that would choke a smaller unit.

Current India models: BP4200, BM4200*
  • Higher duty cycle
  • Faster first-page-out
  • Auto duplex standard
Colour

CP/CM2100 series colour laser MFD

For teams that need colour sometimes, presentations, proposals, the odd chart, without running and maintaining a full colour fleet.

Current India models: CP2200, CM2200*
  • Colour + mono in one unit
  • Scan and copy included
  • Occasional colour use case

Pantum Laser Printers & MFDs vs HP, Canon, Brother

All four are honest choices. Most Indian buyers land on the first option for service depth and ecosystem fit.

BrandWhere it winsBest fit
PantumLowest landed hardware price for comparable mono laser speed and duty cycle, plus a fast-growing India service networkCost-conscious SMB and institutional buyers who print mostly black-and-white pages and can live with a newer brand name

30 minutes on your current print volume, colour mix, desk count and which floors actually need their own unit.

2

Range + AMC match

We recommend the right Pantum series for each location and bundle toner and AMC into one quote, not three.

3

Delivery and setup

Install and driver setup across your Windows and Mac machines, tested on site before we leave, not assumed from a spec sheet.

4

Ongoing support

One number to call for toner, service and driver issues. A written, sized quote lands in 24 working hours of the first call.

Cost per page dropped 30 percent in the first quarter. The driver hiccup in week one was the only surprise, and it never happened again once the AMC kicked in. Two years on, the two MFDs are still the only printers on that floor.

Pantum Laser Printers & MFDs India FAQ

Common questions about this brand for Indian buyers. Hover any underlined term for a plain-English definition.

Is Pantum a good brand for a small Indian office?

For a plain black-and-white office under 20 seats, yes. Pantum’s entry mono lasers cost 30 to 40 percent less than equivalent HP or Canon models and handle routine invoicing and paperwork fine. If your office needs heavy colour output or same-day driver support on a new OS release, weigh Brother or HP instead.

Why is Pantum cheaper than HP or Canon?

Pantum entered India more recently and prices its hardware aggressively to build share, backed by Make in India manufacturing with Kaynes Technology. The saving is mostly on the upfront machine price. Toner cost per page is close to Brother and HP, not dramatically lower, so do not expect the running cost to fall by the same margin.

Do Pantum cartridges cost less to refill?

Not always. Pantum cartridges use chip-based restrictions, so third-party refills are limited compared to Brother. Budget for original consumables and factor that into total cost, not just the printer price on day one.

Does Pantum work well with Windows and Mac?

Mostly yes, but macOS driver updates have historically lagged HP and Canon, and some Windows feature updates have broken drivers until Pantum shipped a fix. We test drivers on your actual machines before we leave site and flag this in writing if your office runs a mixed Mac and Windows fleet.

Can Sirius Star bundle AMC and toner with the printer?

Yes. We quote the printer, first toner set and an AMC as one line item on one PO, with a single number to call for service, toner top-ups and driver issues, instead of three separate vendors to chase.

Is Pantum available with fast support in tier 2 and tier 3 India?

Coverage has expanded with Pantum’s roughly 40 regional distributors and 1,000 tier-3 partners, but it is thinner than HP or Canon in some tier 4 and 5 towns. Sirius Star’s AMC covers the service gap with our own engineers where Pantum’s local network is still building out.

Can I mix Pantum with our existing HP or Canon printers on one AMC?

Yes. We have seen offices run a mixed fleet, Pantum for high-volume mono desks and HP or Canon for the reception colour unit, all under one Sirius Star service contract with a single ticketing number. It keeps the vendor relationship simple even when the hardware brands are not.

Is Pantum’s India business stable enough to bet on long term?

Pantum is currently ranked No. 4 in India’s laser printer market and has doubled its India business year on year, with a stated target of reaching No. 2 by 2026. That growth is backed by Make in India manufacturing with Kaynes Technology rather than import volume alone. It is still a newer brand in India than HP or Canon, so we recommend an AMC with Sirius Star regardless of which printer brand you choose, so your support does not depend on how fast any one OEM’s local network matures.
