Poly (HP) video conferencing & voice hardware · For Indian business buyers
Stop losing the first ten minutes of every call to the wrong camera.
The Short Version

One Poly room standard. One Lens dashboard. No more guessing which video bar is actually online.

A 340-seat Bengaluru SaaS company had bought three different video bar brands across three boardrooms over two years, each ordered by whichever admin was free that week. Nobody could say, on a Monday morning, which room actually worked before a client call started. Story below.

Poly conference room hardware at a glance

Why Poly anchors most Indian multi-room video conferencing estates.

What it is
Poly is HP’s video conferencing and voice hardware brand, built from the 2019 merger of Plantronics and Polycom and folded into HP Inc. in August 2022 for roughly $3.3 billion. One portfolio covers video bars, conference phones, desk phones and headsets, all managed from a single Poly Lens dashboard.
Who it fits
Any Indian business running more than one meeting room on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, and any hybrid-work floor where headsets outnumber desks.
India availability and channel
Sold in India through HP’s own scale: Redington and Ingram Micro distribution, the HP Amplify partner program, and 750-plus HP World retail stores. Sirius Star scopes and quotes as an authorized reseller.
Pricing shape
A mid-size room kit, Studio X52 plus the TC10 touch controller, lands around Rs 3.4 to 4 lakh street price in India. Small huddle rooms on the USB-only Studio V line cost meaningfully less.
The honest catch
Support has had a rough patch since the HP acquisition, with some buyers bounced between Poly, HP and Microsoft support desks before anyone owns the ticket. Firmware updates on the Studio X line have also caused instability that a few IT teams have had to roll back. We flag both before you sign, not after.
Where it does not fit
A single-person home office does not need a dedicated Poly video bar. A USB webcam and a good headset does that job for a fraction of the price.

Poly India FAQ

Common questions about this brand for Indian buyers.

What does Poly video conferencing hardware cost in India in 2026?

A mid-size room kit, the Studio X52 video bar plus the TC10 touch controller, lands around Rs 3.4 to 4 lakh street price in India. Small huddle rooms on the USB-only Studio V line cost meaningfully less since there is no separate compute puck or controller. Voice-only rooms on the Trio conference phones cost less again. The final number depends on room size, platform certification needed, and how many rooms you are standardising in one order.

Is Poly still properly supported after the HP acquisition?

Mostly yes, though the transition has had a rough patch. HP acquired Poly in August 2022 for roughly $3.3 billion, and some buyers have reported being bounced between Poly, HP and Microsoft support desks before someone owns the ticket. Sirius Star stays on the account as the single point of contact after go-live, so you are not the one chasing three support numbers when a video bar drops out mid-call.

Are the Poly firmware update problems people mention online still an issue?

It has been a real issue on the Studio X line, with some IT teams reporting instability after a VideoOS update and rolling back to an earlier firmware version to fix it. We hold back major firmware pushes on managed fleets until a version has been out long enough to trust, and we test on one room before we roll an update across your whole estate.

Poly Studio X vs Studio V, which fits my room?

Pick the Studio X series for boardrooms and larger rooms that need a dedicated room console with its own compute, DirectorAI framing and a TC10 controller. Pick the Studio V series for huddle rooms and BYOD setups that already run a laptop, since it plugs in over USB without a separate console to manage. If most of your rooms already have a laptop-on-a-cart habit, Studio V is usually the cheaper right answer, not the compromise.

Poly vs Logitech vs Cisco Webex vs Neat, which is the honest call?

Poly wins for multi-room estates that want one Poly Lens dashboard across video bars, conference phones and headsets, built on the deepest audio-engineering heritage of the four. Logitech wins on price-to-spec ratio for a single USB bar in a budget-conscious BYOD room. Cisco Webex wins for enterprises already standardised on the Webex suite end to end. Neat wins on minimalist design and native Zoom Rooms integration for design-conscious boardrooms. There is no universal winner. The free room assessment is where the honest call gets made.

How fast can Sirius Star quote and install a multi-room Poly rollout?

A written quote lands in 24 working hours of the free room assessment. Installation and Poly Lens setup for a standard multi-room order typically lands inside 2 to 4 weeks, longer for large fleets needing custom mounting or network changes across multiple sites.
