The 4x rule and the 30-degree rule
Pick a display whose diagonal is roughly 1/4th the distance from screen to farthest seat. Farthest seat 4 metres away, you need at least a 75-inch. Farthest seat 6 metres, you need 86 to 98-inch.
Then check the viewing angle. From the corner seat the screen edge should be no more than 30 degrees off-centre. Wider than that and text becomes unreadable. This is why a square boardroom often needs two displays, not one bigger one.
Pilot one room first. Get the team to use it for two weeks. Then standardise. We have seen too many buyers commit to 12 units at once, then discover the brand they picked does not natively run their video platform.
Quick answers before you call
Does an interactive display replace a separate VC bar?
Sometimes. MAXHUB V6 Classic and Surface Hub 3 have built-in cameras and mics good enough for 8-seat rooms. Anything larger and you still want a Logitech Rally Bar or Poly Studio X up front.
Do you stock Microsoft Surface Hub 3?
It is sold on indent only in India. We can place the order through our Microsoft Surface partner channel. Lead time is typically 6-8 weeks. We will quote honestly.
What about training and rollout?
Included. Day-1 training session per room for up to 8 staff. Quick-reference cards laminated and stuck on the side of the unit. A 30-day check-in call to make sure adoption is real, not just the install ticket being closed.
Can these run our existing video platform?
Yes. MAXHUB V6 Classic is MS Teams Rooms native. ViewSonic IFP works with Zoom, Teams and Google Meet via myViewBoard. BenQ Board and LG CreateBoard run Android, so any web-based video tool works in browser. Confirm native vs browser before you buy.
What is the warranty?
OEM standard is 3 years on-site for MAXHUB and ViewSonic IFP. 2 years for BenQ Board. 3 years for LG CreateBoard. Surface Hub 3 carries Microsoft Complete for Business. AMC available for years 4 and 5 via our authorised partners.

P.S. A Pune services firm tried to standardise on a single brand across 9 conference rooms. We pushed back and ran a pilot in two rooms first.
